The homie Young Murph and I were talking rap videos and basketball the other day and he randomly put me onto an unsigned indie rock band from Irvine, Cali called The Jakes.
I haven't stopped listening to their song "Cough Syrup" since. I even went as far as attempting to purchase their EP Shake My Hand but quickly realised the digital Amazon.com is not available to Australian customers without a US billing address, and I don't buy DRM mp4's from iTunes.
Its only a matter of time before these guys blow up, their sound is accessible yet refreshing and thats coming from an R&B kid who only likes a handful of indie bands.
