With this weeks move from #22 into a #17 position on The Billboard Top 100, The Veronicas' single "Untouched" becomes the first song by an Australia artist/group to crack the Top 20 since Kylie Minogue's "Can't Get You Out Of My Head" peaked at #7 in 2002.
"Untouched" has sold 785,000 copies to date in the US and is also sitting comfortably at #13 on Mainstream Top 40 radio.
I think The Veronica's may soon be the first Australian group to enter the Billboard Top 5 since Savage Garden's #1 (I Knew I Loved You) in 2000.
Coincidentally both aforementioned groups are from Brisbane, QLD ...
