Upon first listen to "Love King" I was a bit disappointed that dude had stuck to the same formula once again, but every time I listen I find myself warming to the song.
Its not exactly the record you'd expect after a guy gets married to one of the hottest r&b singers and has a child with her, but whatever...
Like I said yesterday on Twitter, it's pretty criminal, and a little perplexing, why this has only seen 2000+ views since June. I dont think she even has a label, but she does have a pretty great paint scene, only rivalled by Milian's Dip It Low video, which had me downloading a 80mb files in 2002 just so I could watch it over and over again pre-YouTube. I think Sibley wins.
A few notes to point out here...
- Andre Merritt, the dude on the track, is responsible for Chris Brown 'Forever' and Rihanna 'Disturbia' among other work
- Sibley featured fairly prominently in David Banner's instant classic 'Play' clip. Of course.
So The-Dream and his rumoured new 'jumpoff' Christina Milian have done a take on Kanye's epic no drum anthem "Amazing". This video is being posted by some blogs as an "official" premiere featuring predominantly highlights of MJ and Muhammad Ali. I assume its fan-made. Quite comical nonetheless, but worth checking out.
The-Dream's Love Vs Money is available now. If only I could remember my iTunes password, or preferrably, Amazon should hurry up and let me setup an account using an Australian address!
