POOL PARTY

Never skated. Always played ball. Never had the balance. But always took interest in skating's massive impact on popular culture, in particular music and fashion. And I am pretty sure everyone has seen either this or this and knows the story behind the first pool skaters.

So, when I saw this today, I loved it.

AMERICAN skateboarders are taking advantage of the nation's housing market collapse, using Google Earth and property websites to find abandoned properties with swimming pools that can be used as makeshift skate parks.

Seeing as though they kicked out the people that couldn't afford the loan they gave them in the first place, the banks have too much on their plate to worry about these houses and their ramps pools. Bravo.
