KELIS / CROOKERS / BASEMENT JAXX FTW

Putting aside all Nas related bullshit, I have always enjoyed watching and hearing Kelis musically buck the status-quo and still try and somehow fit in with the wider pop landscape. Kaleidoscope and Wanderland would both easily figure in some sort of personal Top 50 albums of all time list that will most likely never happen.

So, I'm pretty down with these two new collabs, with two very different dance music heavyweights. Whilst the Crookers joint continues the dubstep invasion of US rap and R&B, the Jaxx joint sounds like the type of music Timbo would be making if he didn't want to be a popstar. Good start.
