Another great Next Selection produced Ryan Leslie behind the scenes episode, this time teaming with Fabolous on what is absolutely my favourite new record right now.

R Les has a knack of bringing out the best in Fab. We need an album.

Also noteworthy, Next Selection has just relaunched as a full blown interactive design company, boasting case studies of work with Jordan Brand, Adidas, Lexus, Universal and more. NS have been consistent online content trendsetters, even before Cassie was launched in 2006 and have continued to rise equally as a company alongside R-Les as an artist.

This is one of those songs that reads way better on paper than it sounds in final form. I still dig it though. Just not exactly what I hope for when I hear that two of my favorite rap artists are doing a song together.

With that said, the video is dope.

I picked up the talkbox the night before my SOB’s concerts. I’m still learning how to get the sound I want from it, so I’m always practicing with it in sessions. The riff I’m playing was just for fun and is only recorded in the video footage. Keri Hilson happened to be in an adjacent room and stopped in to hear what I was working on. Glad she was inspired to touch the record. Her talent is clearly evident.

Is it just me or do these dudes, including Dream, just look bored as hell in this video?

Luda's flow is great but apart from that, I'm kinda gonna forget this ever existed.

BRANDY WEEK: FALL BACK

G-Unit's DJ Whoo Kid (wooo kid ... sorry dan) included this 'freestyle' over Miss Jade's Timbo produced "She's A Gangsta" track on his 2003 mixtape, Mo Money in the Bank, Part 2.

I actually heard the Lloyd Banks, Fabolous & Brandy version before the original Miss Jade, it was one of my favourite songs of '03, Fabolous' verse is bonkers.

To this day I've been unable to locate a DJ-less version but I've managed to find a 192 to share with y'all.
