VIDEO: YOUNG JEEZY FT TI - FAME

I really thought this could have been Jeezy's worldwide crossover single if it had a big anthemic Skylar Grey vocal hook but in true Jeezy fashion he basically says "fuck it" and raps over the hook about wanting to "squeeze the glock til its empty" haha. Perfect.

VIDEO: T-PAIN - REVERSE COWGIRL

Teddy delivers a great record here, but the video looks a bit cheap, apart from that crazy 3D shit that happens every now and then.

Wasnt Jeezy on the original leak BTW?

KANYE FT JEEZY - AMAZING (VIDEO)

Even though it was only a short weekend of absence, it feels as if I missed so much in the way of new music and bullshit online. Life of a music nerd.

I think now with the video for "Amazing" being unleashed, it is time I liberate my edit of the song so DJ's can play it out properly.

Clip is directed by Hype Williams.

LET THE DOLLARS CIRCULATE

I tried to flip this sample back in 03-04 I think. I'm happy I never did anything with that beat because this song was always going to be better than whatever I came up with 5 years ago. Bless you Billy Paul ... and while I'm at it, bless you Gamble & Huff.

CIARA FT JEEZY - NEVER NEVER

How insanely hot does Natasha (right) look in this picture?!

As Weez pointed out earlier on Twitter: if you heard Kanye's "Amazing" and thought "How the fuck is Jeezy gonna rap on this", then you'll be twice as confused by this new offering from CiCi.

Polow & Elvis Williams (also assisted Polow on "Promise", "Like This" & "Glamorous") go in on Harold Melvin & The Bluenotes biggest song. I've run through a few of their records in my time. ("Elevate" ... only a select few people will get that).

Looks like Jive are trying to repeat the Polow/Jeezy slow-jam formula that worked a treat for Usher. I think this song could kick start Ciara's upcoming project. Only problem is everyone expecting a bunch of uptempo records, don't hold your breath!

I WONDER HOW MUCH THIS COST ALL UP?

Wow, I guess they had to go all out on the video considering the title. It looks like an early 2000's music video budget, before people realised you didn't have to spend 500k to make a single successful.

I think Jeezy got Wayne on this, by a mile. He's been aching to use a Michael Phelps reference.

PUT ON DRUMMA BOY

I've been watching Drumma Boy slowly become the next hip-hop super producer since, well, lets say USDA's "White Girl" but properly after Plies "Shawty". Comparable to The Runners domination of southern hip-hop in 2006/2007, Drumma Boy is beginning to own hip-hop in 2008 and will most likely dominate the first half of 2009.

Despite not having a Billboard #1 record yet, Drumma Boy has produced Jeezy's "Put On", Rick Ross' "Here I Am", Rocko's "Umma Do Me", Plies "Shawty", USDA's "White Girl", T.I.'s "What Up" and just about half of Jeezy's Recession, amongst a bunch of other joints that make you feel like you're on steroids.

While there's nothing complex about DB's production, the guy stays making anthemic rap shit. Like The Runners did, I hope he switches up eventually and shows us more than just the 808 sound. Until then:

"Bitch I'm amazin, look what I'm blazin' eyes so low yeah I look like an asian"

THE RECESSION IS #1

Jeezy manages to top the Billboard charts with his third album The Recession selling 253,337 in its first week at retail.

The revived New Kids On The Block somehow manage to come in at #2 with a surprising 100,883 and Bad Boy's Making The Band artist Donnie Klang does a pitiful 22,484 at #19.

Interestingly, MIA's Kala made its re-entry at #36 fueled off the Apatow-assisted success of her single "Paper Planes".

Kardinal Offishall's Konlive/Interscope album Not 4 Sale is out next week and could possibly have a run at top 5 while Metallica have a late friday release of their new record which will probably take the #1 in its first day of sales.

VIDEO: THE DREAM FEAT JEEZY - I LUV YOUR GIRL (RMX)

I'm actually a little stunned I havent posted or even seen this joint until today. Glad they left Jeezy in there, hilarious verse.

Still on the Snowman, I've had The Recession on smash all day. Entertaining shit if you're in the mood for it.

I NEED A VACAAAATION

Someone tell me if I'm trippin' but that bassline reminds me of an old Pac joint. I can't place it for the life of me though. Its frustrating me to listen and not know, so if you know, let me know.

JEEZY x NAS = MY PRESIDENT IS BLACK

Young Jeezy Ft Nas - My President Is Black

Jacked from Lowkey tho. Lookin out.

Side note: Remember when Jeezy said Nas has "No street credibility" in December last year? That was hilarious, I'd almost forgotten til I jacked that split photo from vh1.com
