WTF: DAVID GUETTA & AFROJACK VS JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE

You remember this incredible segway by Timbaland and Danja between JT's "Love Stoned" and "I Think She Knows"? well David Guetta & Afrojack's recently leaked track "Pandemonium" features an eerily similar beat. Listen below and decide whether you think its coincidence or some wholesale jacking...

PS. Take note of the similarity in drum programming in the intro...

TIMOTHY BLOOM

Newest signing to Timbalands Mosley Music Group. The dude is not only an incredible singer but he also wrote this and this and seems to be one of those Bruno Mars, Prince or Justin Bieber types who can play every instrument under the sun. I apologize in advance for putting Bieber in the same sentence as Prince.

Really looking forward to hearing what Timothy Bloom comes out with.. Especially if its produced by Timbaland and Polow.

This shit is smooth as fuck

VIDEO: MICHELLE BRANCH - GETAWAY

Produced by Timbaland.

No disrespect intended but I'm definitely posting this more as a WTF moment than to feature the actual song. With that said, Michelle Branch is looking pretty fucking hot.

VIDEO: TIMBALAND FT JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE - CARRY OUT

Yo JT, that fitted cap was a terrible wardrobe idea. ok, thanks.

TIMBALAND FT DRAKE - SAY SOMETHING (VIDEO)

Boom.

TIMBALAND FT SO SHY - MORNING AFTER (VIDEO)

I don't even know what to say about some of Tims facial expressions.

TUESDAY TRAXXX XVIII

Susie

Kevin Cossom Ft Pusha T - U Know What U Doin (Prod by Danja)

Nicole S. - Zoo (Prod by Timbaland)
Something about parts of this song sound super familiar: The background vocals in the hook are Keri Hilson's from the Timbo joint with Fauntleroy, and the drums are basically from "Give It To Me".

Monarchy - Gold In The Fire (Diamond Cut Remix)
via Big Stereo

Duck Sauce - Grand Steppin' (Orig Mix)

Tom Stephan - Turn That Shit Up (Diplo Remix)

Edwin Van Cleef - Overtaken (Mille Remix)

V-Factory - Be The One For You

Midwest City - Paid My Dues (Prod by Oak)

Lady Gaga - Bad Romance (Grum Remix)

Brandy - Stupid In Love (Rihanna Demo)

SHAKIRA FT LIL WAYNE & TIMBALAND - GIVE IT UP TO ME (VIDEO)

I can't help but feel like this song is somewhat contrived and forced. The idea on paper is far greater than the result. Dunno, its just not memorable.

I LOVED the first Shock Value. It was trend setting to say the least. Not quite sure Part 2 will deliver...

"I AM SO FAR GONE, BITCH I'M OUTTA HERE"

Disappointed Drake was hardly on the Jay x Drake x Timbo BP3 "collab" "Off That"? Well we now have some sort of idea how Aubrey sounds over some Mosley Music.

King Leon is the standout here, both are snippets and probably unfinished but theres lines for days regardless.

Timbaland featuring Drake - Say Something

**BONUS**
Gucci Mane featuring Drake - Beleive It or Not
Timbaland featuring So Shy - Morning After Dark (SV 2 First Single)

"LOVE VS HATE" LOOKING AT SIX FIGURE DEBUT

Yeaaaah The-Dream week continues as the album of the year, thus far - Love Vs Money, has predicted first week sales of 125-150k according to Hits Daily Double

In comparison, Dream's 2007 debut album Love/Hate moved 59,000 copies in its first week at retail and has been certified Gold. I hope he receives his due success this time around. Love/Hate wasn't even nominated for a Grammy despite being considered by many R&B fans as the album of 2007 and spawning four hit singles.

J.Holiday's Round 2 is looking at somewhere around 60-65k without a Dream penned smash, while Chris Cornell and Timbaland's critically bashed Scream is looking at a miserable 20-25k. I guess that's what happens when you get so caught up in the sonic complexities of music and forget to make great 'simple' songs.

BRANDY WEEK: SIRENS

When Brandy's "U Don't Know Me ... Like You Used To" came out, the Timbaland/Aaliyah influence was too present to ignore, but without question the sound was perfect for Brandy.

Fast forward five years to 2004, Timbaland had produced Brandy's Afrodisiac album to critical acclaim but underwhelming sales, mainly due to a lack of promotional push by Atlantic Records.

Just think, if Afrodisiac had of come out around the time of Nelly Furtado and Justin Timberlake's last albums, it would have been a worldwide smash. Instead it was the most revered but least successful album of her career.

My first offering today is the Timbaland produced, Static penned "Sirens". A bonus track from the international CD single of "Afrodisiac". The beat is ridiculous, Timbo beatbox in full effect.

Brandy - Sirens (Prod By Timbaland)

FYI:

Brandy's Human is now available at iTunes and Amazon. CD is in stores around the world tomorrow.

Brian at Concreteloop has a very on-point review of the album. You can read it HERE. IMO, Human is the best comeback r&b album since Emancipation of Mimi.

RIHANNA - REHAB (VIDEO)

8th single from Rihanna's Good Girl Gone Bad, technically.

TIMBALAND FT T-PAIN - SAY

New Timbaland & T-Pain .. Sounds like James Fauntleroy on backgrounds and I'm assuming he wrote Tim's parts.

Timbaland Ft T-Pain - Say

Link jacked from BMF.

Theres another James Fauntleroy / Timbaland track that leaked yesterday but its clearly an unfinished demo so I'll leave that one for now.

PUSSYCAT DOLLS - MAGIC (TIMBO/THE CLUTCH)

Whoa. The best Timbaland track of 2008, though I'm guessing it was produced sometime last year. The beat is just out of control.

PCD - Magic (Produced by Timbaland / Written by The Clutch)

JENNIFER HUDSON FT LUDACRIS - POCKETBOOK

So good to hear Luda over classic beatbox/percussive Timbo production again.

Jennifer Hudson Ft Ludacris - Pocketbook

Produced by Timbaland, Hannon Lane & Jim Beanz ... Penned by The Clutch.

Because we're on the subject, heres my favourite Luda / Timbo moment: Gossip Folks

TIMBALAND MIKE DUDIKOFFS THE SHIT OUTTA SHOWTIME TOURING

I'm a day or so late on this but Australian media outlets are reporting that Timbaland is suing Showtime Touring Group for breach of contract over his cancelled tour last month.

"The suit revealed that Showtime had agreed to pay Timbaland a $A1.26 million performance fee for the tour - or $A250, 923 for each of the five scheduled shows - but had failed to make the required payments."

A COUPLE SHOCK VALUE II LEAKS

This must be one of the supposedly 'Phenomenal' tracks Tim and Teddy recorded for Shock Value 2. Pretty cool ... No idea whats going on with that second verse though??? I guess its an early leak.

Timbaland ft T-Pain - Talk

Theres alot of speculation surrounding this song, particularly who's project it will appear on. It features Keri Hilson on background vocals and James Fauntleroy (member of Underdogs and writer of No Air, Take You Down and a bunch of other great stuff) on the hook.

Possibly the best song I've heard from Tim in a minute.

I'ma post more on James Fauntleroy in the next couple days.
